Ball Persons Required
15/3/2006

The Club is seeking 2 persons aged 13-15 to act as ball persons at all games throughout the season.

With the introduction of the new rule whereby the full-back can kick in immediately a point is scored, a second ball is required to be on hand behind the goals at all times.

We are therefore seeking young persons to become permanent officials for the year – one to operate when the League team is playing and one when the Reserves are playing.

Anyone interested, please contact CEO Kris Grant at the Club on 8255 2555.

With only a skeleton crew of league players in the side, a team of CDFC reserves and juniors gave the fans something to look forward to in 2006. Join the discussion of this game on the CDFC Match Day Forum.

Trial Game Changes
7/3/2006

The trial game for Saturday 11th March verses Norwood at Kersbrook has had to be changed. Unfortunately on inspection, both clubs found some relaying of turf and the covering of the concrete cricket wicket had not settled enough to ensure the players' safety. Kersbrook had done a great job but the oval won't be safe enough by Saturday. Also, as it is expected to be 38 C on Saturday (and the league was to start at 4pm, the hottest part of the day) Norwood has changed this home game to a night game at Norwood Oval (Coopers Stadium).
Reserves start at 5.15pm and the league at 8.00pm. While disappointed we hope everyone will still get down to cheer on the Dogs.

Also, our last trial game against North Adelaide on 25th March will be under lights at Hamra Homes Oval Elizabeth. The reserves with be starting at 4.45pm, with the league starting at 7.30pm. Everyone is encouraged to preview what will be fabulous footy, under lights, at Hamra Homes Oval.

Join us, and be part of out quest for a record equaling (only Port has done it before in the SANFL) seventh Grand Final and our fourth premiership in a row.
