These abovementioned players make replacements for the departures of:

Club Legends Chris and James Gowans (retired)

Ruckman Jack Hannath (drafted by AFL Club Fremantle)

Troy Menzel (drafted by AFL Club Carlton)

Premiership Player Andrew Hayes (who departs the Club after consecutive injury interrupted seasons. Hayes has averaged 50% of possible games over the last 4 seasons)

2012 Reserves Premiership players Damian Hynes, who has decided to play with Amateur Club Seaton Ramblers, Norm Russell Medallist and Premiership player Chad O'Sullivan and former Port Power listed Matthew Westhoff, who after spending the majority of 2012 in the Bulldogs Reserves have both decided to make a move to North Adelaide.

2011 Norm Russell Medallist Eddie Sansbury, who is relocating to Queensland (Toowomba), which is the home town of his wife Lynore

Ruckman Jason Sutherland is currently in the USA trying his hand at becoming a US Football punter. The Club wont know his movements until March 2013.

So far Pre-Season training at the Dogs has been upbeat with a reasonably fresh faced and young squad hitting the track and looking to show what will be the next generation is capable of.
