AFL RESERVES DECISION

Dear Member/Supporter,

At a meeting of SANFL Club Directors of the 15th August 2013, the decision to invite an Adelaide Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club Reserves side into the SANFL Competition in and after 2014 was supported on a 6-2 vote (6 for and 2 against).

On behalf of our Board of Directors, I advise our membership and supporter base that Central District Football Club voted NO to the two resolutions moved.

It was our Club’s belief that given the information that was provided but more to the point the information that was not given and after much discussion which had taken place over many weeks, the conclusion reached was that there were too many unanswered concerns and insufficient confirmation of matters raised by us for the Club to consider in the affirmative such a momentous decision.

However, now that the decision has been made, our Club now will throw its full support behind the concept.

We must ensure that this radical change to the SANFL Competition is a complete success for all concerned, particularly Central District Football Club.

Our Board of Directors implores our members and supporters to continue to support the ‘Mighty Bulldogs’ in the future and the new competition in 2014 and beyond.
