Novita Charity Match
THE NOVITA GUERNSEY AUCTION IS NOW CLOSED ...
On Saturday 11th August, the Central District Football Club – along with our Charity Partner, Novita Children’s Services – celebrates Novita Charity Day.
The relationship between Central District Football Club and Novita began in 2009, and Central District players have proudly worn a Novita logo on their playing shorts throughout that time.
Current Captain Trent Goodrem continues to be the Novita Ambassador.
Central District has hosted a dedicated ‘Novita Home Game’ at My Money House Oval, annually since 2011.
Saturday will be the 8th Novita Home Game, and is a brilliant opportunity to raise awareness of Novita and the services it provides, as well as raising funds to support it in continuing to deliver those services to so many young South Australians living with disability and special needs.
Central District Football Club has helped raise $60,000 for Novita over the last seven seasons, thanks to the generous support of Club partners, members and supporters. Their ongoing commitment to the broader community and to Novita in particular, is outstanding.
Local lad, Brodie Mewett, aged eight, who lives with cerebral palsy, is a Novita Ambassador, having accessed services at Novita’s Elizabeth hub including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology and orthotics. A keen footy fan, Brodie plays for the Angle Vale Football Club (Home of the Owls), and has been honing his handballing technique with Novita occupational therapist, Joel O’Rielly.
Brodie will play a key role at the match on 11 August. He will be a guest at the pre-game President’s Luncheon, accompanied by his Dad, Trent and twin-brother, Jaiden. Brodie then has the important role of tossing the coin before the match, with Club Captain Trent Goodrem.
The Round 17 match against Norwood kicks off at 1:10pm (early match time) at My Money House Oval.
There will be extra activities for kids, including a face painter, jumping castle and CDFC Player poster giveaways. Tickets are $14 for adults and all kids get in FREE.

GUERNSEY AUCTION -
The Central District League side will be wearing special one-of-a-kind Novita guernseys, with a retro look.
The team will also wear these guernseys a second time in Round 18, for the SANFL’s Retro Round, against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval.
The guernseys incorporate the old style 1980's white with vertical stripes, including the old Club logo.
