Player Movements

Tim McIntyre

Tim has advised the Club that he is moving to Warrnambool to play football in 2015.

The Club is extremely disappointed to have him only play one year with the Club after we obtained a transfer from the Sturt Football Club.

We are of the understanding that Tim has been in negotiation with Warrnambool Football Club since mid-season.

A huge disappointment.

Ben Nason

Following a post season meeting with Senior Coach Roy Laird, Ben felt he could not meet Roy’s expectations in order to become a regular League footballer.

As a result, Ben has decided to pursue a career elsewhere, with Glenelg showing strong interest at this stage.

The Club is disappointed at Ben’s decision, but wish him well.

Ryan Williams

Whilst over the past 2 years Ryan has indicated his willingness to return home to Anglesea, he found it difficult to leave.

However, he informed Roy Laird and myself post season that it was time for him to return home to family (he having been away from home for 8 years) and lifestyle (being a surfer). Even then, he found the decision hard to make.

A 3 time Premiership Player and State Representative and also 2014 Runner-Up Best & Fairest, Ryan’s departure is a huge loss.
